PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This artist’s book investigates the shifting boundaries between surveillance, control, privacy and digital identity in a data-driven world. Combining photography, text, and symbolic design, it reflects on what remains of individual freedom when personal data becomes a form of currency. The open spine binding the typography Liber Es! (“You are free”), a statement that appears both assertive and precarious. This tension continues in the material choices: the cover is printed on 60gsm IBO One paper, whose delicate, banknote-like texture underscores the fragility and value of privacy. Encircling the book, surveillance data from major global cities forms a continuous visual layer, framing the content like a subtle but persistent warning (see Fold-Out Cover). Together, these elements create a tactile and conceptual object that invites reflection on autonomy, visibility, and the cost of freedom in contemporary society.
