PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Amalgam #5 critically engages with the politics of alienation, exploring how these dynamics serve as conduits for violence across various scales—from forced displacement and imprisonment to erasure. By centering the alienated subject, this issue interrogates the intersecting forces—border regimes, settler colonialism, racial capitalism, hetero-patriarchy, and techno-feudalism—that create the conditions for hegemonic language of othering to emerge and perpetuate violence.
