PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Since 2022, Other Means has designed ten artist monographs as part of an ongoing series for James Fuentes Press. Each book follows a consistent template, presenting a single body of work by an artist alongside scholarship, essays, interviews, and sketches. The covers feature an artwork or a detail, reduced to two colors, and are printed on glossy, one-side-coated paper stock. The interiors use standard uncoated paper. The typesetting is bold and large, with tight margins, and all text is set in a single size. This design evokes the look of inexpensive paperbacks found in airports or used bookstores, creating a sense of accessibility and intimacy between the artists and their work.
