PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Lavishly illustrated, this monograph of the Colombian sculptor Edelmira Boller gives an account of her creative output, ranging from her stance on the aesthetics of modern abstract sculpture to her explorations of upcycled industrial and technological materials.

To introduce readers to the categorical groupings in Boller’s work, we proposed the use of spreads where detail images of individual pieces are treated in duotone (copper and black), and serve as the background for the titles of each section. This effect is also applied throughout the book in photographs that record the artist's daily practice.

As a bilingual publication, the book combines texts in black (Spanish) and copper (English).
