PROJECT DESCRIPTION

An unfulfilled college student hurtles through four parallel realities to explore the what-might've-been and the what-should-never-be in The Tatami Galaxy, a Groundhog's Day-esque campus chronicle.

Incorporating Japanese artist Yusuke Nakamura’s illustration into a cover design that seamlessly speaks the languages of anime, manga, and literary fiction was a particular challenge. The playful type tracks along the perimeter of the art, allowing the illustration to take center stage in this universe (or any other).
