PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This exhibition brings together works by Cristina Flores Pescorán, made between 2020 and 2022, which explore different ways of healing by creating rituals of bodily regeneration. Through drawings, textile sculptures and videos, the artist investigates her relationship with disease to propose ways of regeneration that involves the spiritual and the sensual character of the body in dialogue with nature. In her works, healing appears not as an individual act but as a collective project (extract from catalogue text).

The idea was to create with the artist´s work a graphic that simulates an organic textile, a continuum body that moves through the cover of the book and creates a living structure. The result of this "intertwining" stands for a powerful metaphor that integrates, in one hand, the interiors of a body that suffers and, on the other, the possibility of interdependence and vulnerability.
