PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Over the decades there were no methodology in Iranian music composing. This book is the first one published the basics that theorised by Maestro Sharif Lotfi. This method introduced polyphony to Iranian music, in which layers seemingly unrelated and meaningless but when superimposing, gradually makes an integrated musical sound.
The materials which form the final piece are: 1. Theme, 2. Counter-melody and 3. Mixture one and two, 4.Harmony, and 5. Rhythm.

The readers of this book are limited (students and educators), so a special edition designed for them.
The colour of the paper and its weight carries the feeling of lightness and friendliness, which is to give the audience feeling calmness. Also, using this kind of paper made less ecological footprint.
Unlike lots of other books (in Farsi), this one employs typesetting rules to enhance readability and legibility.
Divider pages use notation symbols related to the content of the chapter. This procedure is also used to from chapter-titles on each page.

Lots of book-covers on music (in Farsi) uses pictures or illustrations of instruments. On the contrary, we translated the musical concepts to abstract elements--as music is per se. Three small green tangential arcs exhibit "rhythm". The smallest circle demonstrates partial of "[main] theme" based on which other [musical] materials (circles) is formed. The green semicircle represents the counter-melody which played simultaneously. Synchronically the blue circle appears as the "harmony". Then, the [main] melody--the biggest circle--enters. The vertical lines symbolize framing the method. And altogether form the cover/music.
