PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Bang! is a truly inclusive, own voices, solo sex-education book. All genders, all body types, all abilities, are invited to share a space designed for practicing sexual empathy and sexually open conversation. It is designed to build a sex-positive language as a basis of navigating not only body-positive relationships, no matter if you are trans, disabled, or a person of color, but also as a foundation for establishing consent in sexual partnerships. It is one of the very first all-inclusive masturbation sex-ed books by a person of color. It was initially developed in partnership with Princeton's Health Center, to help combat violations of sexual consent on the college campus.

The design of the book is strategized to specifically encourage sexual empathy across all types of bodies. All anatomy diagrams are therefore designed from the first person perspective. The design voice is playful and tongue-in-cheek, in order to help dispel the qualms and shame people may carry about a taboo subject.
