PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The book summarizes one of the Angelika Markul's sculpture project, titled "Tierra del Fuego". It contains couple dozens of images of the bronze / wax "heads", which ware documented especially for the book. The white ones photographed on the dark backround, the black sculptures use brighter background. The book starts with several close ups of the Autralian dessert printed on red paper, and finishes with similar shots - Patagonian icebergs printed on bright blue paper. Those two photo series creates contextual prolog and epilog for three essays and sculptures already mentioned. The cover itself contains a simplified image of white (front) and black (head), which points both towards artist's artworks and further in the past.
