PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The design was inspired by Whitman's habit of storing dry leaves in his notebooks. Between April and May 2019 1,200 leaves of natural plants were collected in Rio de Janeiro to create the images for the project. Each leaf was cataloged, planned and digitized. The print run of 1,000 copies has 1,000 unique covers, each showing the silhouette of a different leaf digitally printed under the screen printed text.
